The Central Coast Mariners Men hosted Melbourne City at polytec stadium on a hot windy Saturday afternoon.

Going into the contest, the CCM Men will have been optomistic as the visitors have only left Gosford with all three points on four previous occassions in the history of the A-League.  Today was to be no different with the final result being a 0-0 draw.

The Mariners starting line-up included some changes from the previous match against the Wanderers.  James Donachie got his first start in Mariners colours with Ryan Edmondson and Arthur De Lima also coming into the starting lineup.

Both goalkeepers were called into action during both halves, making important saves for their team.

The Mariners thought they had taken the lead in the 41st minute when Sabit Ngor had the ball in the City goal, only to be ruled as having been offside.

Similarly, City had a goal in the 91st minute also ruled "no goal" when Andrew Nabbout was offside.

The Mariners will be hoping that injuries sustained by Sabit Ngor and Nathan Paull are not too serious.

Next match for the Mariners Men is on Saturday, 6th December 2025 as part of a double header with the Women's side at polytec stadium.

On December 6th the Women play Newcastle Jets with kick-off scheduled for 5pm, while the Men play Sydney FC at 7:35pm.
