The CCM Men hosted Auckland FC at home but fell to a heavy loss to the score of 4 goals to 1.
The game started with our Men playing into a stiff breeze from the North.
Auckland's first goal came in the 12th minute to Sakai but their lead did not last for long with our Men leveling three minutes later. In a well worked move from a free kick from the left resulted in a shot on goal that was deflected into goal by Alfie McCalmont.
Goals to Auckland's Brimmer and May in the 31st and 39th minutes respectively saw the score be at 3-1 in their favour at half-time.
Our Men were playing with the breeze at their back but could not take advantage of that with several chances from general play and free-kicks.
Auckland sealed the match with a fourth goal to Rogerson in the 84th minute.
The Men will now prepare for the next match that is part of the New Year's Eve double header where both the Men and Women will play Melbourne City.
Women's kick-off is scheduled for 4:15pm while the Men kick-off at 7:00pm.
